I have been on a major adventure the past few years.
In 2019 my life felt like it was turned upside down, including with that a loss of stability. At first my day to day life was simply making ends meet and maintaining an apartment for myself and my son while he finished high school. I was using DoorDash and then work at a natural food store to earn income. It was while working in the bulk herb aisle of the natural food store, during the Covid lockdown, that I hatched a plan to be able to move past simply getting through each day, and being able to work towards some long term goals. My plan involved reducing my largest bill at the time, which was rent. I figured if I could reduce or eliminate that bill, I had hope of saving some money and a path towards land and a tiny home someday. In February 2022 I was able to purchase a 2002 Dodge Ram van for $2800 and by Apil I had completed a very simple build. I learned what type of van and what kind of build I wanted (plus how to do it!) through watching YouTube videos. It seemed only right to make a video myself to show the van I had converted into a home to be. I figured there might be someone like me who wanted to do a simple van build such as mine, and maybe I could help, as I had been helped, through YouTube. Here is the link to that video, from April 2022:
I let the video sit, without telling anyone at first that I had posted it. I noticed it was getting a few views, and even a comment! My video was reaching people and it was possible I had even helped one or two people. It was a very fulfilling feeling to know I was able to give back, and to be part of something that felt kind of like a community- a community of builders, visionaries, and adventurers. I decided to keep making videos, and here I am today!
I titled this post new beginnings because this has been a hard year, following a few challenging but rewarding years. At this point I welcome in the new beginnings! This means new adventures, timely growth, fresh connections, a big upgrade to my current home on wheels (!!!), and also... this website!! I hope you enjoy seeing the blog updates here and there, checking out seasonal handmade merchandise, and browsing the other things this website has to offer. Most of all, I want to thank you for being a part of my journey! That includes it all- YouTube, Patreon, Ruby's channel, this website, and future endeavors. It is an honor to share my journey with you!

I am very new to your channel, and I must say: you intrigue me. I was wondering about your desire to be out on the road, so I read your little bio. I cannot believe you have a son who, presumably by now, has graduated from high school. Wow! You're beautiful and so young looking. You're living your best life, and I applaud you for that. I'm a mom myself (he's well into his 30's), and the mom in me wants to say how very proud I am of you for being the adventurous soul you are. Please be safe out there!

Hi Rowan! Love your videos! The greatest gift you have given to me is when you say you are grateful. That is such an awesome perspective to have in this day and age and a rare one. I have reminded myself of that and it brings such peace in my life. Thank you so much. Blessings, Eileen
