I've been buckling down this week, and dedicating a lot of time to figuring out the details of the upcoming cookbook. Looking over videos from the past few years, I can't help but feel grateful for the growth the youtube channel has made, the growth of the community, and the growth within me. I tend to process slowly, and thoroughly. I often feel I want to slow down, to savor the essence of what the moment holds, whatever it may be, to take time to appreciate what is, as well as acknowledge what has been lost. While I think this is a good practice, and one I continue to lean into daily, I also know that all around me, and inside me, is constant change. Adapting to this change includes movement, the movement of being flexible, fluid, and resilient.
It is almost mid August. We are coming into harvest time. When I think about what harvest means to me, it is connected to the goals I have been working towards. One of those goals has been the cookbook. I was hoping to get the cookbook ready to share last fall, but life had other priorities for me at that time. Now, in this season, the cookbook is finally coming together, and I am excited to get to a place of sharing this form of harvest with you all! I've had my doubts over the past few weeks, but the doubt has been replaced by the joy of fruition. In six to eight weeks I am planning to get the cookbook listed here on this website!
Another thing I am extremely grateful for is the near completion of my new mobile tiny home. In 2019, hard times tunnel focused my mind on what I was working towards. This is when I began seriously working towards my goal of land and a tiny home. I knew I wanted to be able to live a life of simplicity and financial freedom, with access to nature and time, to enjoy life. This has meant some sacrifices along the way, but I know the trade-off has been worth it when I see how far I've come. I'm not ready to purchase land, but I have figured out what kind of tiny home I want to live in, one that allows me to continue to explore and share those explorations with this community, while integrating some comforts of a more traditional home. Over the next year, or three, I believe I will be ready for the goal of buying land. I am definitely excited to have a garden someday! In the meantime, I am relishing the progress I've made towards these major life changes. It is harvest time for the goal of my tiny home, and I am excited to share that with you soon!
Change is happening, always. What has been planted in our gardens, both literal and metaphorically, doesn't stay stagnant. If neglected, those things wither, and may never come to fruition. However, with proper tending, the seeds of yesterday can blossom, and become today's gifts. As change takes place, and I pause with gratitude at this time of harvest, I am also beginning to plan what to grow next in the garden.

Life isn't often easy, but can be so beautiful and moving. I am grateful. To anyone enjoying a harvest at this time; a fresh squash from the yard, a ripe tomato warmed by the sun, or the fruition of a goal, cheers! Congratulations on this harvest time, in the cycle of change.
