FINDING JOY ON THE ROAD LESS TRAVELED

Hi There! I’m Rowan—the creator behind the YouTube channel Just Rowan. I’ve been living full-time on the road since April 2023, through a series of evolving car and van builds. What began as a way to simplify life and reduce housing costs has grown into an intentional lifestyle centered around slow travel, gratitude, and peaceful moments in nature.

In the beginning, I supported this journey through gig work like DoorDash and seasonal jobs. But as my channel and community have grown—now with over 80k amazing subscribers—I’ve been able to focus my energy into content creation full-time, blending my love for crafting, cooking, and nature. In 2024, Ruby, my sweet adventure buddy, joined my journey, and together we’ve continued building a life grounded in presence, creativity, and connection.

We spend our days adventuring together, exploring dog parks and nature trails, new cooking ideas and parking spots. Sometimes we travel slowly and savor a place for awhile, getting to know the area, the hills, valleys and coffee shops.  At other times we put the pedal to the metal and pop up miles down the road because the wind blows a certain way, or a heart song calls.

Over time, my channel, Just Rowan, has grown into more than just a YouTube channel—it’s a supportive community where we spend time, learning from each other, growing and sharing with honesty and heart. It’s about slowing down, living sober, and finding joy in the little things—together.
